My Introduction

I want to start my Introduction saying that I love to write. I love the feeling of me and my words intertwined to make a story told by my lips, with my imagination, and nobody can tell it but me. I love taking my readers on a journey through my mind...through my soul. To be one, to dance with the words like they've known each other for years. Like its there best friend, there soul mate. As you can tell I’m clearly in my feelings. But that's ok because writing is my outlet, my pen, paper, and I are all I need. They allow me to open up my world to my readers. To EXPRESS my self. let everything go that I've been holding in.

My name is Atlana Breon Johnson, I am 19 years old. I am from Kansas City, Missouri. I graduated from Northeast High School class of 2009. I was very active in school I was a football manager, I was Captain of the Cheerleading team, stating center for the girls Basketball team, and I was part of the poetry club. I loved all four years of high school i really enjoyed them a lot.

I was raised in a two parent home, but I was not raised by my mother or my father. I was raised by my grandparents. My sister, brother, and I were raised together by our grandparents because my mother was not that responsible as a parent to care for us. I’m very happy we were raised by our grandparents; they are the love of my life. We just celebrated there 40th anniversary on August 27th. They care about all there grandkids equally but I think we have a special place in there hearts.

Well that’s enough about me. I hope this year brings new things to the table. New stories to read new adventures to go on, new people to meet, and more Novel possibilities!

  1. Hi Atlana,

I can tell by reading your blog that you have a very lively attitude, which is great. I hope that your love of writing can help in English 100.

What do you like to write about? Do you do more freewriting and if so, do you have a journal? I always encourage students or people that I know to journal. It is a good cleansing experience.

You mention that your grandparents raised you. How did this affect you as you became older? Do you appreciate them that much more? Why?
